To kick the year off, we’re lucky to have the chance to collaborate with Screen Yorkshire as part of their Screen Crafts & Digital Skills Bootcamp, hosting the post-production training here at Sticks & Glass.
The course, which is running from December through March, brought a group of trainees into our post-production space in Leeds, giving them hands-on experience with the tools and workflows used in real productions. With a mix of workshops, industry talks, and practical sessions, the program was designed to help participants build the skills needed to step into professional post roles.
For us, it’s been a great opportunity to share our way of working while also meeting a new wave of talent coming into the industry. The trainees have had sessions covering everything from editing workflows and project management to grading, VFX, and sound design, with insights from professionals working in the field.
Screen Yorkshire has been running these training programs to help bridge the gap between learning and working in the industry, and we’re happy to have been a part of it. It’s always good to see more support for post-production roles, especially outside of London.
A big thanks to the participants, the Screen Yorkshire team, and everyone at Sticks & Glass who got involved.
